Another crazy cleric blames gays for deadly US storm

A RABBI has joined an extremist Christian preacher in blaming Hurricane Sandy on gays, calling devastation of New York “divine justice” for the city's same-sex marriage laws.

According to this report, Rabbi Noson Leiter of Torah Jews for Decency compared the superstorm which swept across the US eastern coast this week to a biblical disaster.

We believe that the great flood at the time of Noah...[was] triggered by the recognition of same-gender marriages.

The Pope's gonna have a cow!

MORE than 1,000 Catholics in Washington state have joined together to support same-sex marriage equality, and are urging voters to approve Referendum 74, which will make marriage equality legal in the Evergreen State.

The Washington State Catholics approving Ref. 74 signed a full-page ad in the Seattle Times, Yakima Herald and Everett Herald. The ad says:

Jesus and Catholic School Teachings urge us to love all our neighbors as ourselves.

To marry is to make a lifetime promise to one another in front of family, friends, and the law. Everyone in Washington State should have the right to marry the person they love.

Thousands push for marriage equality in Taiwan

HOUSANDS of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) revellers touched down in Taiwan over the weekend for Taipei's 10th annual Gay Pride event.

According to this report, despite all the colourful festivities (which included a spectacular parade), many of the over 65,000 people in attendance said the event had a more serious aim: marriage equality.

If you’re gay, steer well clear of Clarendon, Texas

THANKS to the generosity of the gay community, a Texas couple has been rehoused following abuse they suffered in their home town of Clarendon, a hotbed of homophobia.

When the pair, Jeremy Jeffers and Joshua Harrison, became the target of homophobic abuse – the words “leave of die” were daubed on their home – they contacted the media because they felt that the death threat and vandalism they’d suffered were being ignored by local police.
